06. ICOSIM Weekly – JAWBONE DETOX and “Maxillo-mandibular Osteoimmunology”

Dear ICOSIM colleagues,

I hope that the impressive FDOJ photo documentation from the bone marrow defects in rheumatism patients was able to give you an impression of the jaw bone pathologies that we see every day. The still existing negation of these pathological and chronic inflammatory processes is all the more astonishing.

You will therefore find here:

Please also note the reference to my 3 ½ hour course offer with the most modern practice DEMO CaviTAU® ultrasound imaging at the ZAEN congress in Freudenstadt on Friday March 25th, 2022: “Silent inflammation in the jaw and cancer development and neuroinflammation – scientific research on destructive Signal transduction via RANTES/CCL5”. 05. ICOSIM Weekly – read about the worldwide unique image documentation on fatty degenerative osteolysis/osteonecrosis processes in the jawbone!

Dear ICOSIM Colleagues,

we are in the fortunate position to present you with worldwide unique image documentation of fatty degenerative osteolysis/osteonecrosis processes in the jawbone (FDOJ).

  • With this LINK you have access to the image documentation of 12 intraoperatively obtained pathologies of a FDOJ of patients with rheumatism/rheumatiform complaints
  • with evidence of inadequate radiographic imaging in OPG and DVT, and
  • histological findings and
  • two RANTES/CCL5 expression levels in the FDOJ areas and
  • scientific literature on RANTES/CCL5 and rheumatism (selection)

The preparations thus provide evidence for the pathogenetic existence of FDOJ in these cases. Hoping to support you collegially with this,

And again a small FDOJ story:

A patient visits an oral surgeon with our test result because of her chronic jaw pain and sends us his comments: “I asked, referring to an acquaintance who had been successfully operated on by you with an identical clinical picture, whether so-called NICOS were not causative for the pain.

Dr. XY immediately waved off the question, although he was remarkably well informed about the diagnostic methods developed by you. These were “not scientific” and not proven that the cell material taken (“slimy mass”) was causative for bone inflammation. The inflammatory parameters were missing.”

As comments, I send the patient:

(a) a review of our 20 scientific publications with over 120,000 hits worldwide. LINK

b) an overview that my work has been cited in 68 other scientific publications so far. LINK

I recommend all colleagues who have to endure similar comments to forward the FDOJ documentations presented in ICOSIM Weekly and the current summaries of our scientific publications (LINK to download) to the critics.

With that, I remain until the next ICOSIM Weekly.

Yours
Hans Lechner

04. ICOSIM Weekly – read about the conversion of RANTES/CCL5 FDOJ values from IMD-Berlin and patient story about CaviTAU®!

Dear ICOSIM colleagues,

I hope that – after the impressive FDOJ image documentation of 9 trigeminal cases last week – it is worth reading our ICOSIM Weekly again:

  1. Important info on RANTES determination in FDOJ specimens.
  2. The answer Why ultrasound with CaviTAU® before a call for help from a troubled patient
  3. Note for further education via VIDEO: HPU Congress with lectures by Hans Lechner

With best collegial greetings and joy with CaviTAU®

Yours
Hans Lechner

03 ICOSIM Weekly – Read about the new measurement unit “TAU” for bone density measurement with CaviTAU!

Dear ICOSIM Colleagues,

Today I would like to invite you to an excursion into the clinical possibilities of CaviTAU®:

The wonderful software feature of CaviTAU® to be able to numerically assign each of the 91 sensor elements opens up a completely new unit of measurement – comparable to the Hounsfield Units HU – for the objective determination of bone density in the jaw.

We call this new unit of measurement “TAU”.

Curious? This LINK will take you to the teaching unit as a PDF.

I would be happy to hear about the experiences and further suggestions of our CaviTAU® users.

With best ICOSIM greetings
Your Hans Lechner

02. ICOSIM Weekly – 9 patient cases from our practice

Dear ICOSIM Colleagues,

We are in the fortunate position to present you with unique image documentation of fatty degenerative osteolysis/osteonecrosis of the jawbone (FDOJ).

  • With this LINK you have access to the image documentation of 9 intraoperatively obtained FDOJ pathologies in patients with Atypical Facial Pain / Trigeminal Neuralgia and
  • with evidence of inadequate radiographic imaging in OPG and DVT, and
  • with histological findings and some
  • RANTES/CCL5 expression levels in the FDOK areas.

The specimens were all from affected individuals with Atypical Facial Pain/Trigeminal Neuralgia.

The images thus prove the pathogenetic existence of a FDOK with special formation of a “NICO” (Neuralgia Inducing Cavitational Osteonecrosis) in these cases.

In the hope to be able to support you collegially with it,
I remain until the next ICOSIM-Weekly

Your Hans Lechner

Local RANTES/CCL5 expression in ‘silent inflammation’ of the jawbone and system networking – is there a link between jawbone interference field and organ disease?

The etiology of chronic immuno-inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, tumours and arteriosclerosis is not fully understood. It is generally acknowledged that several factors are interlinked in the development of these diseases, including genetic disposition and factors such as nutrition and environment. Given that holistic dentistry has always suffered a lack of explanatory models accepted by mainstream schools of thought, evidence of the overexpression of the inflammatory chemical messenger RANTES/CCL5 in the jaw is a great advance. A literature search in Google Scholar demonstrates the massive pathogenetic involvement of local RANTES/CCL5 overexpression in the jawbone in almost all chronic conditions.

Definition of osteoblasts and adipocytes in the bone marrow

The translation and labelling of illuminating passages from the following article outline, in my opinion, the essence of the problem of fatty-degenerative osteonecrosis in the jawbone (FDOJ): the misdirected adipogenesis in the bone marrow of the jaw as a prerequisite for overexpressed RANTES/CCL5 signalling. I would like to make this illuminating investigation available to ICOSIM members; the essential passages are marked.

Sincerely,

J. Lechner
